    I find myself curiously jealous over this post. There\’s more going on here than mere nostalgia for a lost love. I didn’t realise how much I missed my old typewriter until I read what you were doing…

      TBH there probably was more than a little nostalgia behind my buying a new old typewriter. That said, having used it a few times now it is fast becoming my primary tool for first drafts. You should have a look on ebay, lots of decent machines for next to nothing. The Bluebird cost £5 plus postage.
