The new Stuttgart City Library opened to the public recently. Designed by Eun Young Yi, it looks like Platonic ideal of a library if I ever saw one. Love the MC Escher inspired stairs. And the way the books add colour to the otherwise white surroundings is stunning. Seeing these pictures instantly made me want to head down the autobahn and visit. How about you?

It’s beautiful and so bright–just right for my weary eyes.
It is beautiful. But I’m also wondering how long it will take for those bright white floors to turn grey. Here’s hoping they have good cleaners/protective coatings for the flooring
