I also spent some of last week redrafting another previous TMA, ‘Breaking Distance,’ ready for submission to the monthly Writers Forum magazine competition. I emailed it to them on Monday in the hope that it might make publication before the 15th June deadline for the BBC National Short Story Award.
A long-shot I know, but entrants to the National Short Story Award are required to have been previously featured in a publication that has either an ISSN or ISBN number. And I don’t think my letter to the Transformers comic when I was ten will count. I also have another story, ‘The Bus Stop,’ ready to send to Scribble magazine, which also has an ISSN number.
Getting something published before the middle of June is a tall order but nothing ventured, as they say.
