This coming Saturday, April 14, I will be delivering a short story writing workshop and takin part in a discussion panel as part of Hive Young Writers Festival in Rotherham. From the website: ‘The festival is a chance to network, hear from professional writers, meet like-minded young writers, perform & of course, write! Everyone is welcome – all writing interests and experiences.’
This will be my first time attending and I am really looking forward to it. I would recommend that any young writers (14-25) take a look at the programme and attend if at all possible. The ticket price is only £6.50 which includes all workshops, talks AND lunch! I know that a return train ticket from from my part of Lincolnshire costs just over a tenner, so it is doable, even on a low budget. This is the kind of event I wish I had access to back when I was young enough to take advantage.
