Those brilliant folks over at Writing East Midlands have extended the closing date for their 2nd Annual Aurora Poetry & Short Fiction Competition. Here’s the details:

Aurora Poetry & Short Fiction Open Competition 2017

Closing date for entries has been extended to 9th April 2017

We’re giving you more time to polish off your poems and short stories to enter our second Aurora writing competition!

Our judges are renowned poet Penelope Shuttle and acclaimed short story writer and novelist Jacob Ross.  

The prizes are: 1st £500 , 2nd £100, 3rd £50, and the Stonewood Press Regional Prize £70 for East Mids Writers, which includes a Writing School East Midlands course worth up to £130

Enter and help us to celebrate the very first National Writing Day on 21st June 20017. 

Winners will be invited to the prize-giving event at the beautiful Bromley House Library in Nottingham City of Literature as part of National Writing Day.

Entry fees £7 for first poem or story and £6 for subsequent entries.
