Hatchards shelfMy lovely publishers at Salt have spotted a copy of Looking Out of Broken Windows on the shelves of the UK’s oldest bookshop, Hatchards of London. Not only is my debut collection in one of London’s best loved bookshops but is in seriously impressive company, sitting alongside Stella Duffy’s collection, everything is moving, everything is joined.

Looking Out of Broken Windows is also featured on Salt’s Christmas Pressie List, alongside a whole host of other brilliant Salt books. Click on the link and treat yourself or someone you love to some Salty goodness this Christmas.

In other book-on-shelf news, I paid a visit to the newly-refurbished Book Fayre in Woodall Spa last weekend, my first to their new premises on The Broadway. The Book Fayre has always been a great place to browse and enjoy a coffee and a cake but the larger shop has allowed for more stock, including a nifty secondhand section to the rear. I spent a lovely hour or so with my family, and we all left with a book or two to enjoy. And seeing a copy of my collection on the fiction shelves of my local bookshop was particularly pleasing. If you are ever in the vicinity of Woodall Spa, the Book Fayre is well worth a visit. The Book Fayre
