Day 5 and I’ve picked a Power Point story by David Gaffney, ‘The King of Powerpoint’ from his 2009 Edinburgh Festival show Destroy PowerPoint. Gaffney’s ‘Aromabingo’ collection really impressed me at the start of my Short Story Challenge. I selected this story as it uses the PowerPoint form to bring a new slant to the short fiction form. It’s not a gimmick though, the form here fits the subject matter perfectly.
